X360 version findings

Post by DiamondMaster07 on Mon Apr 24, 2017 1:47 am

I don't know if someone did this before me, but I checked some of the X360 files - Not the Devbuild
These are my findings:

English videos in 720p, PAL format, .wmv files

TexEd found textures in ZZDATA0, ZZDATA1, ZZDATA2, ZZDATA3, ZZDATA4, ZZDATA5, PADA1, PADA2 <-- All of these are .bin files
Neither of the textures can be exported, TexEd says that Format is UNKNOWN for every texture
TexEd can't preview any of the textures(atleast I didn't check every texture, there are millions of them)
Can detect resolution - higher than the PC version. I didn't compare them, but they go up to 1024x while PC is max 512x(as far as my knowledge goes)

That's all for now
Feel free to share your findings in the comments!

Can you export them with TexEd? What about MWTex?

Sorry, little mistake, I wanted to write exported, not imported.
So that means they can't be exported
MWTex? Never heard of that but I will try

Ok, I couldn't find a link for MWTex. Can you send me a working link?

There should be one on NFSCars somewhere.

I can't guarantee that the program is free of malware, so download it at your own risk.

@DiamondMaster07 If possible, install a Linux Distro and use WINE to run it. Or use a sandbox program if you love Windows Normal Smile

I vouch for Sandboxie if that's the case.

WMV-format videos aren't surprising either as the 360 even has XMA (a specialised variant of WMA Pro) support hardwired into the 360's southbridge from what I heard.

I think this can go here: Xenia, the X360 emulator doesn't crash when you go ingame. The game is not playable yet but progress man! It's being made!

Some self-promo below:
