None of them is remotely the engine sound of neither the BMW nor the Mazda in real life, so the answer is no. In the case of the Bimmer, the engine sound it uses for MW is the one of the 2004 version of the car, despite the Bimmer in MW is the 2001 version. Since the sound of the Bimmer belongs to another version of it, we will logically keep it.

From VltEd side, no, but from ExOpts side, you'll have to ask nlgzrgn. Since ExOpts will be integrated to the Patch (Or a lite version of it if needed), it's possible that the fix would be added.

Unfortunately, I have been unclear about Patch testing.
I offer my apologies to those who have been misled by mw wording before.
The definitive policy is that we will explicitely ask the help of people only when we need it, and it won't be a matter of who asked it more, or less, to be a tester.


So please, don't ask to be testers, unless I explicitely state otherwise.

I think that "lost in concepts" airport requires more than one person like nfsu360 in order to be included in the game.

Hello so I've worked on modding TR:AOD (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-10-12-the-fans-who-would-fix-tomb-raiders-most-broken-adventure) - sasho648 here - I know how to use IDA Pro and for tomb raider I used PELord to insert custom PE segment with my replacement for certain in-game functions.

However the thing is in TR:AOD I had PDB file with debug symbols - do you guys have those or are you working in the dark?

On the other hand I like this game and if you need any help you could PM me - (do note that I've other things to do but like sometimes I decide to play NFS MW and at this time I may as well try to improve it too)  I know basic x86 (user code) and really love the C language but I hate interrupts, multi-threading and stupid unresponsive OS and not working tools (obviously I guess).

As was said by MNaeemi777, they do this on their personnal time. Further more, they're developping their own Tools to do such, and I also think they're waiting for a tool that another modder is developping himself.

Such a huge mod is not an easy task. Mostly since they have few coders in the team. Be patient.

You gotta understand they're not a professional game-developing team, they are doing this for free, with their own knowledge, and with very few people. Gaming industries have like 30 professionally trained developers, and it takes them (atleast) a year to make a game.

Everybody:


Until the necessary tools are made, the Patch development will be unfortunately halted.
One of them is ready, but we need 2 more tools, both of them are in development, and are critical for the Patch.

Another thing I wanna say is that I'm tremendously sorry for the ever-growing expectations of everybody. The Patch, in its V1, will be just a plethora of fixes, some of them major, but most of them minor. Despite the V2 will be a game overhaul, it won't be as big as everybody imagine, we do will add many things that we can't add to V1, but it won't gonna be a massive, game-changer version as everybody thought or expected.

I'm sorry if this post dissapoints everyone, because you all have gotten major expectations about the Patch throughout all these years, but for me, it's better to be honest now rather than waiting for a release which perhaps could have disappointed everyone. This is not to say that we will remove features we said we're gonna add (In fact, we WILL add all mentioned features, so no worries), but I wanna clarify things to keep people from building false hopes about the Patch.

What I can ensure you is that once we get the 2 remaining tools (Or maybe just 1 of them), we'll resume our work.



Regarding testers, we won't make any public petition of testers, so even if you contribute a lot, a few, or nothing, it won't increase or decrease your chances of being a tester. However, continuosly insisting in being tester, be it in public or in private, will decrease your chances.


We will privately call the people we consider appropriate to be testers.
