Ti-Sonic's lair - NFSPS Conversions

Post by Ti-Sonic on Thu Mar 02, 2017 2:06 pm

My car and texture mods are mostly done on NFS UG2 , MW , Carbon , PS and UC.
Since it's the NFSPS forum , you'll have only NFSPS conversions here !

So this is what I came up with recently :

This is a " TRD " fan-made version of the Toyota Corolla " Trueno". The main base is from Shift 2 Unleashed , the tire comes from RaunyNoObeXx and the rim itself by Porsche4ever , and the brakes are coming from the Toyota Supra RZ from Forza Horizon 2. I think it's the most easiest conversion I've ever done , I did it in two days straight.

The point was to not touch the perfromance ( at least the mass ) and to keep the original oldie spirit of the car. For doing so , the car has only one spoiler , the Evo one. For th rest the vinyl mapping os perfectly correct

Once I can , you'll be able to download it from here.
For now you can download it from NFSCars : http://www.nfscars.net/need-for-speed-pro-street/9/files/view/14256/

______________________________

For the other works , small updates :

I managed to find the right node for adjusting the power of my BMW M5 E60. All cars use " xxxx_track " and "xxxx_driftlow " as start values , as defined in "pvehicle". So it's a bit easier to make right performance curves.  :$

I also started a Truffade Adder which replaces the Veyron  :$

The Noble M600 and the Huayra BC are still in works , aswell as a Lamborghini Estoque that will come up soon  :$

And I also started a Koenigsegg Regera , with a crazy note on my side : I'll actually retry to make a full CVT transmission for it. I hope I will succeed ! Some pics might come later !

EDIT  : Here are new screenshots !  :ninja:

Btw , speaking of that , here are the other mod you can grab :

Toyota Corolla "trueno" TRD : http://drivingpassion.net/site/index.php?page=downloads&type=entry&id=need-for-speed-series%2F2007-need-for-speed%2Fcars%2Ftoyota%2Ftoyota-trueno-trd

Truffade Adder : http://drivingpassion.net/site/index.php?page=downloads&type=entry&id=need-for-speed-series%2F2007-need-for-speed%2Fcars%2Ftruffade-adder

Aston Martin Vulcan : http://drivingpassion.net/site/index.php?page=downloads&type=entry&id=need-for-speed-series%2F2007-need-for-speed%2Fcars%2Faston-martin-vulcan

For those who ask , I mostly updated the physics since my Vulcan has been out before the one made by Michael Werd ( on Vk ) , the 3d model already had accurate shaders , the only thing that annoyed me was about the perf.

Speaking of the changes , here is the fixes I brought  :$  :

- Direction improved , it can be twitchy sometimes. Designed for max grip , recommended only for EXPERTS.
- Ride height ( both in garage and in race ) has been corrected
- Power output improved
- Increased brake force
- new gear ratios , the car was prone to stuck at some point in 6th gear
- Max speed ~ 330 km/h
- Enabled nitro ( 5 bottles )

I also added an uninstallation nfscfg file , which wasn't present in the archive of the first release of this mod. So I HIGHLY recommand you to use the new version. If you still have the old version , delete it and use this new one.

Big update

This is my new conversion from GTA:SA ( thanks to Automan which did a great work on keeping a good level of detail on the mesh ) to NFSPS , the Vapid FMJ Roadster ! Happy Smile 1

Pictures :

Car replaced : FORD GT

I managed to do my first full mod using the .nfsms scripts , and it worked well , I just had some hard times about the addition of a 7th speed. Thanks to Arturo for his help Happy Smile 1

What has been made so far

- 7th speed added for all tuning levels
- reworked gear ratios and gear efficiency
- new wheel positions
- improved cost ( you'll have to spend ~370 000 $ to get the car
- engine braking improved
- forced induction types changed ( it's now a N/A V8 , and not a supercharged one )
- new FE Compressions values
- more MASS
- Max speed ~411 km/h once tuned , ~400 with the stock car

Remaining

- Add brakes and brakerotors
- improve the driver position
- fix the carbon section in the hood
- add custom parts
- fix the rollcages
- add spoilers
- add dummies for reverse lights
- add the engine and the window mountpoints

I've never been so satisfied with a car mod ! I almost cut by two the time I actually spend on making the performance ! Happy Smile 1

The Vapid FMJ Roadster for NFSPS is available here Happy Smile 1 : http://drivingpassion.net/site/index.php?page=downloads&type=entry&id=need-for-speed-series%2F2007-need-for-speed%2Fcars%2Fvapid-fmj-roadster_2

Other links may come up soon.

Thanks to nfsu360's documentation which helped me to create a script for copying files and installing the performance at the same time  :$

Thanks Art , to be honest , I didn't matched the level of the conversions made by some Russians that I saw here : https://vk.com/nfs_prostreet_online ; but I do try my best Happy Smile 1

One of them , Mikail Werd ( known as CHIRICK ) did made some impressive mods , I'm also in the way to offer the best conversions with a maxumum compatibility for all PC's Normal Smile

Now it's " Bodykit showtime " ! Happy Smile 1

Some are still in works , but most of the wide bodykits are finished. The one I just finished are the F430 and the 599 GTO.

For sure , I'll do ! Happy Smile 1
The only thing tht I'm facing is about making the selection of some parts available.

I found the right line in the " car_parts " node , it is the "spoiler" one. I found that it is possible to add/remove lines ,but I don't know why , even edited and saved , the game still denies to give me the selection of the part ( the part is the "spoiler_evo" one ). What should I do ?

Do this (I assume you're talking about VltEd):

1-Create the new node, as usual
2-Copy/paste the info of a node of the same category, which originally belongs to the game
3-Add your info

This is happening due to a possible VltEd bug.

And Rauny, it'd be awesome to see your Mods here, man.

Thanks Normal Smile

About the car meshes :

599 GTO , 458 Italia, F12 Berlinetta and Enzo : RR3
F430 Scuderia : Forza Horizon 2
488 GTB : Assetto Corsa

The custom parts comes either from the ones included in the game of where it was extracted , or from other games , such as Juiced 2 , CSR2 , NFS NO Limits , etc ;)

Thanks mate , I hope that everyone will enjoy this pack Happy Smile 1

Btw I made some changes :

F430 Widebody rear bumper has been modified , now the exhausts should be displayed correctly.
Exhaust mountpoints and fx added to almost all models.
Driver will be attached to the interior of each car in the pack ( it's also an economy of time since they aren't used by any boss in the NIS cutscenes ).
Max speed of the 458 Italia on GRIP config has been raised , it had a lock to 202 Mph ( by mistake  :face: ).

EDIT : 11:29 PM

There are the fixes !

About the parts , I have discarded the evo spoiler , whatever I do , either the game acts as if I edited nothing , or it crashes. Deleting and copying parts from another node didn't worked either , it made the car more sensible. So that's " a bad for a good ".

Sorry for being silent these days , I had a lot of things to do , specially due to my courses at the uni , and also because I was struggling with the Autosculpt stock rims , either they were bugged ( distorted polygons ) or they made the game crash instantly.

Now everything is fixed , I only have to add the mountpoints for the licenseplates and it should be done !

No problem dude , it's a pleasure to offer a new experience to everyone with these packs Happy Smile 1

Even though I'll make a sort of " after release" feedback , it might be the first DLC that I do a feedback on it.

So , after a long time , there goes my feedback about the "Red Stallions" DLC ( pack or whatever ) :

Pros :

- Most of the Ferraris were easier to do , as well for the models than their performance. I had almost no problems while compiling them apart the 458 and the Enzo which liked to give me stupid problems while converting.

- Vlt-Ed was a great editing tool since it gave me a bazillion number of options , such as adding data , and even to delete some lines , in order to male the modifications easier.

- Even if that changing car names and manufacturers are only available throug Hex-editing ,  Vlt-Ed did understand the alphabetical system , and even if they're  loaded as " default string " ,  you can get the models , between Ford and Infiniti .

- Almost all models can be used without any problems , and compared to my preivous pack , it's a hugh improvement.

Cons :

- So... The Ferrari Enzo was one of the cars which mostly I had to fix / compile , mainly about the size of the car , since it replaces the Cayman S....and not only about the wheel positions , but  even the performance was a pain to fix.

- I had to replace all of the Porsches. Even though I'm not a hardcore fan of the Porsche's , and even less of the Ferrari's, replacing them was a though choice since I had to replace some of them , by making sure that all the cars would be usable without any problem.

- The last one is that to make sure to get any problem , I had to choose the right cars , and I hesitated many times to replace the Carrera GT by the F12 Berlinetta or the Enzo ,  but the Enzo would look a bit more " cliché " considering that almost all exisitng mods tends to replace the Carrera GT for the Enzo.

So there goes by " feedback ".

By the way , here goes my last update :
For those who don't know , the first version was a bit bugged , specially speaking about the grilles , the widebody , and obviously the paint.
I even corrected the UV mapping Happy Smile 1
